How many times have you heard a lady say that she longed for a knight in shining armor?

If you are the one who is after that kind of women, a knight is exactly what you have to be. You have to be her hero, her prince. You must be an officer and a gentleman.

Chivalry might come off as highly old fashioned and too traditional - but even feminists cannot deny that they are more receptive to men who would open the door for them or pay for dinner.

Women want men who will listen to them and responds to their needs. Females desire somebody who they can feel secure with. Basic chivalry is essential to women; they believe that men who demonstrate gentleness and patience are qualified to be a match mate.

Women want comfort and security on a long term basis and they are eager to find men who can satisfy those needs. Granted that chivalry will only not work on all women, it will nonetheless impress most of them in relationship dating.

Good looks and a rock hard body may be able to win some short term companions, but without basic chivalry to sustain a relationship, it usually does not last.

So next time you take a girl out, remember keep up the basics – but don’t overdo it! Open the restaurant door, the car door, etc. (not the door to the Ladies room). Have table manners (but don’t pretend you are eating with the Queen of England).

If you don't know what table manners are, go home to mom and ask her to teach it to you again.

Once a girl thinks of you as a gentleman, she will always keep that in mind - who knows, your good habits may make a strong enough impression to the point that the female may think she found her match mate.
